Eight Migrant workers die in road accident, another by falling into a meat grinder

Eight migrant workers from Myanmar were killed on Monday night when the pickup truck they were travelling home after work on a construction site in crashed into a concrete barrier in Bankgok on the Rama 2 highway in Samut Sakhon province, twelve others were injured in the collision.
The truck was being driven by a Myanmar worker said that the accident was caused by him being forced to swerve to avoid another vehicle that pulled into his lane. He lost control of the vehicle and slammed into the barrier, five died at the scene, three others were declared dead at the hospital.
In a separate incident in Chonburi a man from Myanmar died after falling into a meat grinding machine at a pet food factory where he was working. Police and medics attended the gruesome industrial accident, some 50 kilometers outside of Pattaya. The 37 year old man had worked at the Pet Smart Company for five years.
