Entire car of train passengers drugged, police suspect

Just one car away from the state railway’s new rape-free compartment, someone is suspected of drugging about 30 passengers on the state railway this morning and stealing their belongings.
Ten cell phones and about THB2,500 in cash were stolen from passengers an overnight train out of Bangkok, all of whom woke after a deep sleep to find their things gone, and many complaining of headaches, Daily News reported.
Passenger Pathom Pinakun said he thought they were all drugged because they all slept soundly until the morning, which is rather uncommon for a train even if it doesn’t derail.
Hat Yai police said the crime likely happened from 3am to 6am while the train traveled between Surat Thani and Nakhon Si Thammarat.
The passengers will be examined to check whether they were drugged.
