Ex-pat murdered in Koh Samui, Frenchman arrested

Police in Koh Samui have arrested a Frenchman on suspicion of murdering another French man whose body was discovered in Thursday morning. The suspect, so far, has only been identified as being a man named Paul who owns a restaurant. Police are also searching for two other men who have been identified only as Yves and Michael in connection with the murder.
According to aDaily News report, Pol Col Paitoon Krajajang, the chief of Samui Police Station said that the victim was in his 40’s and it is believed the crime was motivated by a conflict over the restaurant business. The victim was shot before being dumped in a stream approximately 2km from Tan Rua waterfall in tambon Maenam. The suspect Paul was the last person to see the victim alive, his body was found at around 9.30am. Police were called to the scene and found the dead man to have three suspected gunshot wounds to his neck, had also been slashed across his forehead. The man’s wife told police that the victim had been to a restaurant the previous evening but had not returned home,the body was found in the vicinity of that restaurant. A witness said he heard a dog barking close to the spot at around 11pm, when he went out to investigate he saw a car drive in up, it parked for about twenty minutes before leaving.
