Facebook posts lead to brutal murder of “friend” in southern Thailand

Two friends murdered their buddy because he made posts on Facebook that caused arguments to break out between their families.
Witthawat Jaengjai, 36, and Suriya Phonwichai, 33, were furious with their friend Wirat Singsit, 37, over his posts on the social media platform.
So with murder in mind they invited him out for a drinking session at a “khao tom” (boiled rice with condiments) restaurant in downtown Thung Yai in Nakorn Sri Thammarat province.
When they were all drunk they traveled together in a Toyota pick-up stopping by a palm plantation where they confronted Wirat.
They said he denied causing trouble for their families with his comments on Facebook.
So they got a rifle and shot him twice. They then dragged the corpse into the palm plantation where it was later found.
Police got warrants for the arrest of the two men yesterday. They admitted to a charge of premeditated murder as well as weapons offences.
