Fake 1000 baht note: Pump attendant in Surin falls for obvious copy

Sanook reported that a female pump attendant in Surin was conned by a motorist who paid with a fake 1000 baht note.
The note was folded with several others for a large fuel purchase but on closer inspection it was an obvious fake.
One side looked real enough but the other was a piece of white paper just stuck on.
The attendant – Aksorn, aged 28 – only noticed after going to the safe to bank the takings.
The police in the Prasat district of the north eastern province are investigating.
