Family of missing Brit told a body has been found in Koh Phangan

The Gloucestershire family of a missing British Man have been told a body has been found in Koh Phangan, but no formal identification has taken place.
Andrew Apperley, 38 was reported missing after failing to return to his hotel in Koh Samui after the Full Moon Party.
Mr Apperley had flown from Bangkok to Koh Samui to go to the Full Moon Party. He checked in to the IBIS Hotel in Koh Samui. According to reports Mr Apperley had had a conversation with his mother on WhatsApp and had left his passport and driving licence at the hotel reception before making his way to the party. He told his mother he would be returning to the hotel the following morning, when he failed to turn up the hotel in Bophut reported him missing. Prior to the body being found the Foreign Office said “We are providing support to the family of a British national who has been reported missing in Thailand”
An appeal to find the man was put out on the Samui Online Community Pinboard on Tuesday.
