Farmers in Krabi pray to a lump of metal found in cow dung

A farming family in Krabi have been paying homage to a lump of metal found in a steaming pile of cow dung. According to news reports 53 year old Boonjan Duangjan was going about her normal business of collecting cow dung to be used as fertilizer when she noticed that one cow pat weight considerably more than the others. On closer inspection she discovered a chunk of metal that weighed about 100 grams. Having farmed cows for more than 20 years she and her family were intrigued at the one off discovery. One family member washed the egg sized piece of metal off and tried, unsuccessfully, to cut it open with a saw. Mrs Boonjan described the piece of metal as resembling a baby inside its mother’s womb and she and her family believe it is a sign of good luck and have now placed the lump of metal on a shelf in their home in order to pay respects to it.
