Fellowship Dinner at Pavilion Resort and Spa Lamai Friday 30th May 2014

The May Fellowship Dinner at Pavilion Resort in Lamai Beach Road was voted a great success by the 45 guests who attended this venue which is new to Rotary Fellowships. Pavilion’s signature ‘Pasta Corner’ was well subscribed, though the range of dishes offered meant that guests were spoilt for choice. The evening was enhanced by music from an in-house duo, which was willing to perform favourites requested. At the end of the meal, Past President Adele, standing in for President Jeffrey called away on business, thanked Pavilion for their wonderful buffet and their attentive staff. PP Adele also noted that every guest were to receive a sample bag of pastries from the newly opened bakery. The eagerly awaited raffle draw took place, with 5 prizes, including 2 vouchers offered by Pavilion. A guest originating from Scotland via California, Frank Searle (father of ex-Rotarian Tom Searle), was twice a lucky winner, but generously offered his second prize back for a redraw. Finally, special guests from a Rotary Club in Germany were introduced, Ewould and Manuela Terberg, and club banners were exchanged.
Guests reluctantly departed some time later, already looking forward to the next event at Zazen Boutique Resort and Spa, Maenam.
