Triple-murder suspect Pornchai Pitak turned himself in to police yesterday afternoon (October 27) and confessed to killing his wife and both her parents
Kuraburi District Officer Arnupap Yodkwan and Lt Col Winai Kongkaew questioned Pornchai Pitak, 25, a Surat Thani native, about the killings on October 20 of his wife, Piyawan Jankaewkerd, 28, and her parents, Wad Jankaewkerd, 59, and Prakob Jankaewkerd, 54.
After shooting all three, Pornchai told them, he had hidden out in Surat Thani but had decided to surrender after relatives there talked him into coming clean.

“I got down on my knees and begged for forgiveness but my mother in-law shove me in the face with her foot” he told police.
In a rage at this treatment, Pornchai said, he went over to his motorbike, got his gun and and started shooting at everyone in range.
Police charged him with first degree murder, illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition, carrying a firearm in public without a permit, illegal firing of a gun and possession of a Category 5 drug.
He was locked up and denied bail.
