A French Backpacker has gone missing in Asia. Arthur Ange has not made contact with his family since January 26th. Arthur is 30 years old and six feet tall with brown eyes and chestnut-red hair. He was due to be travelling through Bangladesh, Myanmar, Malaysia, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam.

His family, who are appealing to social media users to find Arthur ,say Dhakar Bangladesh was his last know location, he was planning to join a friend in Malaysia via Myanmar or by boat from Chattagong, he never arrived.

Arthur’s travels started three years ago in the south of France where he comes from. He set out to complete a world tour by land, walking and biking. Arthur has been described as a very discreet traveller, he is generous and always smiling.

On the social media appeal his friends said “Maybe he didn’t find a boat for Malaysia and he tried to cross into Myanmar illegally? We imagine he is in jail or suffering somewhere.. we don’t know where his is and local authorities are not very active at participating in our search.  Only our mobilization can highlight its case and help his family in their search. He renewed his passport recently and we are waiting for the French ministry to give us his number. We are deeply worried, can you help us? Have you met him?”

If you have any information please contact his family by email on [email protected] or phone: + 33 650 86 25 76
