At around 3am this morning, Thursday 17th of March, a 26 year old French man drove his motorbike into the front of a parked garbage truck. The man hit the truck at such speed his head became embedded in the front grill. It took rescue services an hour to remove the dead man from the vehicle. The driver of the truck said that he had packed the vehicle in front of Samui Town centre for about twenty minutes in order to collect garbage when he heard a crash. The deceased man, who was a tourist, had entered Thailand on the 24th of February. He was not wearing a helmet.
