Friend shoots fellow construction worker dead in Korat

A Korat construction worker – angry that a friend would not pay him his fair share of money for jobs – finally had enough. He left the drinking party and returned with a shotgun and blew his friend away.
Police called to the downtown Ban Nimit housing estate, Nakorn Rachasima, Sunday evening found Sayan Marksuk, 41, dead in a pool of blood with a single shotgun wound to his chest reported Daily News.
The shooter had fled on a motorcycle but police soon rounded him up by the estate’s swimming pool a short distance away.
Suphachai Phliasai, 40, admitted what he had done. He told police that the victim and himself were friends who were working on house extensions together. He said that his friend had refused to give him the agreed share of the profits and had asked repeatedly for the money owed that ran into tens of thousands of baht.
Suphachai said Sayan was a big guy and the victim threatened him saying if they had a fight he would beat him. On Sunday he got angry while they were drinking alcohol together and emboldened by the booze he went to get the gun before coming back and shooting his friend.
He said he was ready to face prison time. Police detained him.
