The 27th of last month saw the first island treasure Hunt, by car, held by The Friends of The Special Needs School – Samui, as part of their continued fund raising on behalf of the school.

Starting from Nathon, drivers from 7 different teams, with such exotic names as, The Geriatrics”

treasure hunt day“Get lost or die trying”, “The Celts” etc were provided with 29, somewhat cryptic clues, which when identified took them on a c50 kilometer drive around Lipa Noi, Ban Taling Ngam, Thong Krut, Bang Kao and Ban Harn before returning on the 4169 back to Nathon. During this time they also had to collect a number of items , such as Something to keep a plate of meat warm. Key to a wooden door and others.

In all it was a most enjoyable day out and was completed with a hot meal provided free by Max Murphy’s in Nathon. The day was won by “The Lost Souls” consisting of Barbara Castek, Phillip Parker and their Captain Brian Goddard at which they were presented with a dinner voucher, with the compliments of The Silavadee Resort and Spa, Lamai. There were many requests for repeat event as soon as possible.

The event raised 16.500 baht
