Gang caught selling tiger meat to restaurants in Bangkok

A gang involved in the trade of tiger meat has been busted in Bangkok. They were caught with a female tiger destined for Bangkok restaurants in their car. The Tak province military and police arrested two Thai men after their vehicle was searched at a checkpoint. Nipon Suksombot, 42 and Leuthai Diewchareon, 55, had a 200kg dead female tiger stuffed into a cooler box, she had died by gunshots some eight hours earlier. The men admitted to being hired for 3,000 baht each to transport the carcass from Mae Sod market and deliver it to restaurants in the capital serving unusual dishes according to reports in state media and Morning News.
