Girl, 15, dies in a hail of bullets in Bangkok shooting

A 15 year old Pak Kret girl died after she was shot multiple times in the early hours of Monday morning.
A 16 year old youth was attacked with a sword and is fighting for his life, reports Sanook.
The incident happened near the end of Prachacheun Soi 8/1 opposite the Thurakit Bandit University at 2am.
A witness said that a group of friends out for a ride on their motorcycles were surrounded by a rival group comprising about ten motorcycles.
Some raced off but the girl – a ‘Tom’ named only as Pheung – could not escape in time.
She was shot multiple times and ended up being catapulted into the roadside klong as the motorcycle she was on hit the sidewalk. The other youth riding was then attacked with a sword.
A member of the public ferried him to hospital on another bike. He was being treated in emergency at Monkut Wattana Hospital for a deep gash to his back.
The dead girl’s mother Thianwan, 35, arrived on the scene in tears.
Her daughter had only asked for permission to go out with friends and now this happened, she said.
Pheung was a M2 (Year 9) student at Karn Kheha Tha Sai school.
Police are interviewing friends in her gang to get a lead in the case.
