Give him the death penalty: Parents of slain teacher speak out

The parents of a 33 year old teacher murdered over the sale of a motorcycle in Rayong have called for the death penalty for the murderer.

Khru M and his wife Khru Naen, both 33, were both viciously murdered in their home last Wednesday.
There is only one suspect. He is 22 year old Suphakrit “Title” Sujasri who was arrested soon after in Chiang Dao in the north of Thailand attempting to flee to Myanmar with the aid of a friend.
Suphakrit had contacted the couple – both teachers at a private school in Rayong – to buy a Ducati motorcycle.
Sanook reporters went to the village of Ban Tom in Phayao in Thailand’s north where they met Kaew and Anong Phianngam preparing for their daughter Naen’s funeral.
Mother Anong said she had spoken on the phone to her daughter on the 27th who told her about the impending sale of the motorcycle for 570,000. She said the buyer was coming later that day.
She never called again.
The next call was from Anong’s sister who told her to steel herself for bad news.
She described the terrible shock that came from the news that she had lost her wonderful daughter.
The couple went to Rayong on a tour bus; relatives thought it was unwise to drive themselves in the circumstances.
They viewed their daughter’s body at the hospital and the mother recalled in tears that she and her husband had said they were going to visit with rice once the harvesting season was over.
Kaew said that only the death penalty will do for his daughter’s murderer. If not what is the point of having it, what would Thai justice mean, he observed.
The law needs to be tough on the perpetrator of such a heinous crime, he said.
