Green Papaya Salad – Som Tam | Samui Times

Uncover the secrets of the nations favorite dish with this easy to follow recipe

Ingredients

40 g Green Papaya – Cut using a corrugated vegetable peeler peel

30 g Carrot – Cut using a corrugated vegetable peeler peel

20 g Cherry Tomatoes

1 tablespoon of Peanuts, toasted and ground

2 – 3 chili

1 clove garlic

1-tablespoon fish sauce

1-tablespoon limejuice

1-teaspoon palm sugar

20 g string beans

Directions 

Put the Garlic, chili, 1-2 pieces string bean in a Pestle and Mortar and pound

Add the Papaya, Carrot, Tomato, Fish sauce, Limejuice, Palm sugar and mix well.

 

If Papaya is not available then you can use Cucumber or Green Mango instead
