Gunmen shot dead eight family members, including three girls

A group of armed men in fatigues broke into a village headman’s house in Ao Luek district of Krabi province last night, handcuffed him before shooting all the 11 family members inside.
Six died in the house and two others who were identified as Worayuth Sanglung, the headman of Moo 1 Village in Tambon Ban Klang and his 3-year-old niece died at Ao Luek hospital.
Forensic police and local police inspecting the scene of the brutal murder suspected conflict of interest in land deal might be a cause of the mass murder of the whole family members of the village headman.
Initial investigation and questioning of neighbours showed that the group of about 6-7 armed men arrived at the house in two pickup trucks at about 4.00 pm.
The armed men in fatigues then ordered occupants inside to open the house for search, and told all of them not to leave the house.
They laid in wait until Worayuth returned home at 8.00 pm, handcuffed him and hooded his face.
Until midnight, the gunmen then started to shoot all the 11 people who included five children and fled.
Died inside the house were his wife Duangporn, his daughters and three relatives.
Worayuth and another girl died at Ao Luek hospital.
Three others who are a woman and two small girls are in critical condition.
