Hapless old taxi driver admits “he has a problem judging distances”

A Bangkok taxi driver admitted that he has a problem with distances after he nearly drove himself and his passenger into a klong in Chacherngsao.
Channel 7 made light of the case as cab number 9894 was filmed in a thirty minute operation being extricated from a rickety wooden bridge.

Driver Suchin Suphapyat, 75, said sheepishly that he was trying to do his passenger a favor.
But he admitted that he had never been to this specific area and has a problem with judging distances.
One of the female presenters on the Channel 7 show commented: “That’s why I always use the BTS”.
Disclaimer: Thaivisa notes that 9894 may or may not be a good number to play in the lottery…..
