Heavy rain expected in Northern Thailand | Samui Times

The Thai Meteorological Department has issued an advisory statement about a Tropical Depression in the South China Sea.

At 4am on the 19th of September the tropical depression in the central coastal area of Vietnam was centered about 150 kilometers east of Da Nang, Vietnam,  or latitude 15.0 degree North, longitude 109.5 degree east. It is moving west 10km/h with maximum sustained winds about 55km/hr. It is forecast to make landfall over the middle of Vietnam today. The storm is expected to pass the southern Laos PDR through lower northeast Thailand. More rain and isolated heavy to very heavy rain is likely in the North East, Mukdahan, Amnat Charoen, Ubon Ratchathani, Yasothon, Roi Et, Si Sa Kiet and Surnin  provinces and in the East Rayong, Sa Kaeo, Chanthaburi and Trat.
