Heavy Rains due in Southern Thailand | Samui Times

Weather authorities have warned heavy rains are expected to hit southern Thailand by Wednesday, adding more woes to a nation already struggling with longlasting floods in central and northeastern parts of the country.

Rain-trigged floods have already claimed at least 73 lives over the past month in the country. Over 700,000 people have been affected.

Authorities have urged residents in areas prone to landslides to take precautions. Coastal regions are also expected to see strong winds, and vessels are advised to take shelter in harbours.
