Heavy rains forecast in South this week

The Meteorological Department warned southern residents to brace for heavy rains until the end of this week.
According to meteorologists, heavy rains have been forecast in Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala, Narathiwat, Phang Nga, Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun until tomorrow.
From Thursday to Friday, heavy rains will be experienced in Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Patthalung, Songkhla, Pang Nga, Phuket, Prachuap Khiri Khan, and Ranong.
Residents in those provinces have been told to brace for flash floods and to keep themselves updated with weather forecast on a daily basis. Fishermen should proceed with caution as ocean waves could reach two meters high.
