Heavy rains and thunderstorms expected in many parts of Thailand including Samui

Thunderstorms and heavy rains are expected in many parts of Thailand as the monsoon rains roll in from the Southwest. Between the 3rd and 5th of June southwesterly winds will prevail over both the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea bringing heavy rains according to the Meteorological Department. Most of the southern provinces including Surat Thani, Phatthalung, Phuket and Yala will be hit b y heavy rain storms. Strong winds in the Andaman are expected to generate waves up to 2 meters high.
