Highway Department launches Songkran travel aid campaign

The Department of Highways has launched a campaign facilitating outbound traffic during the Songkran festival in line with the Ministry of Transport’s road safety policy.
The Department of Highways has instructed local offices across the country to prepare round-the-clock rest areas with facilities for drivers and passengers from 5th to 18th April.
The department has also issued infographic shortcut maps for the public and is offering Real Time traffic reports every two hours and even hourly during heavy traffic periods via its website www.doh.go.th and Twitter.
