A highway police officer was killed and another injured when a container truck rammed at the rear of a parked cement truck and fell on his patrol car on the Bang Pa-in – Bang Buathong road in Samkhok district of Pathumthani province today.
Killed was Pol Sgt Bodin Wongsawang, while the I just was Pol Sub Lt Narongsak Budhisarn.
Driver of the cement truck Pornpirom Kaeodamsai said the highway police waved at him to pull over while he was driving on the highway. As he was talking to one officer sitting in the car on the left, the container truck didn’t notice his parked cement truck and rammed at the rear.
The truck slid and fell on the patrol car trapping the two officers inside.
One was killed and another was rescued by rescue workers.
The truck driver was later arrested for reckless driving.
