Launched in Clearwater, Florida all the way back in 1983. 35 years later it is a global sensation, renowned for its chicken wings, Orange short shorts and of course pretty girls. The latest addition to the family is here on Koh Samui.
Located on the beach road right next to Hard Rock Café its very easy to find and has a great patio area out front with a DJ playing nightly to put you in the mood for a long party night ahead or just a great place to hang out and people watch. Inside you find a modern airy sports bar restaurant offering you live sports from all around the world on what seems like hundreds of big screen tv’s, showing American sports live in the morning, Australian Sports in the afternoon and European sports in the evening, along with a pool table, darts, table football and beer pong outside on the patio there is something for everyone.
Eighties and nineties music pumps out during the daytime and night time you can enjoy music from the resident DJ outside on the patio or rock music inside. As a global franchise Hooters knows what they excel at, and keep up their consistently high standards, from country to country that they branch out to. As we left the beach road and entered we were greeted on the patio by a nice loud greeting from the girls ‘Welcome To Hooters’ the high level of energy stayed throughout our visit. There was a lot of couples eating and drinking, that alone would suggest that Hooters have managed to steer away over time from an exclusively male- orientated crowd, to a more wholesome, family orientated crowd during the daytime and early evening before entertaining the party late night, Its and very nice balance. The service was excellent, and the staff all paid close attention to the patrons, with excellent English abilities. The acid test for Hooters would be to see just how good the All American staple of burgers are here, and also to sample some of their famous wings. When considering which burgers to plump for, we were recommended the western BBQ burger at 439THB. It was very good value for its size and tasted amazing, and came with a portion of curly fries to give you that extra value. Next up, we went for the Original Breaded Wings, choosing Thai Sweet Chilli sauce, and a Ranch dressing. A portion of twelve wings came to 419THB, which was fairly- priced whn considering just how darn good they are! The chicken had been cooked just right and the tasty sauce was plentiful. The ranch worked a treat to take away some of the heat from the chili sauce and we soon demolished all 12 wings. A great selection of Beers, both draft and bottles, was a nice way to round things off. Top notch.
Hooters also run daily promotions on all their food and drinks so don’t forget to ask your server what todays promotion is. They also open for breakfast from 10am and the Kitchen served fresh cooked food until 2AM for all the night owls.Facebook.
