Hua Hin court sets August 6 as first hearing of rape murder case

Hua Hin provincial court on Tuesday set August 6 as the first hearing of the rape-murder case of the 13-year-old girl student on a sleeper train from Nakhon Si Thammarat to Bangkok on July 6.
The court appointed the first hearing date after the police Tuesday morning escorted the rapist murderer Wanchai Saengkhao and his colleague Natakorn Chamnan, 19, for trial.
The state prosecutor is to present 26 witnesses to testify in the court, and three for the defendants.
Also at the court today were the mother of the murdered girl.
The mother sought permission from the court to allow the rapist murder to perform a brief ceremony to apologize her daughter for the crime he committed in front of the portrait of the victim.
Her request was permitted by the court.
Earlier Wanchai confessed to the rape and murder of the girl during the police interrogation process, but his colleague retracted his earlier confession as a lookout saying he was threatened by the police to confess.
