Human leg accidentally put into garbage by hospital

A horrified garbage collector stumbled across a human leg yesterday while searching through the Muang district landfill for items that he may be able to recycle. A local hospital later confirmed that the leg had recently been amputated from a man suffering from diabetes.
Today the police confirmed that forensic tests on the leg confirmed that it tested positive for diabetes. The deputy governor of Amnat Charoen, Boonyuen Kamhong said that the hospital administrator at a local hospital confirmed that the leg did indeed belong to one of their patients.
Boonyuen said that the doctors of the hospital intended to dispose of the leg in a bio-waste bag, but it was accidentally placed in a general refuse bag. The doctors involved in the mix up have not been named. The hospital has apologized to the city municipality and made a promise that hygiene procedures will be tightened in light of this disturbing incident.
