India receives $100,000 towards flood relief from Thailand

On Thursday Thailand gave $100,000 of financial assistance towards flood relief in India.
Foreign Minister Surapong Tovichakchaikul invited the Indian Ambassador Anil Wadhwa to the Thai Foreign Office to express his deep sympathy and condolences on behalf of the government and the people of Thailand for the loss of lives, property and the devastation caused by the recent foods in Northern India.
This followed a message sent to President Pranab Kakherjee from Thailand’s King Bhumibol Adulyadej expressing his condolences over the loss of lives caused by the floods. The message read “The Queen and I are deeply saddened by reports of devastating floods which have caused immense loss of human lives and heavy damage to infrastructure and property in the northern part of your country.
