Jealousy the motive behind Koh Samui murder police say

Yesterday, Tuesday 24th February, police in Koh Samui arrested three Myanmar workers suspected of killing a 22 year old compatriot found dead at the viewpoint on Monday in Koh Samui.
Chief Pol Maj General Apichat Boonsriroj, Surat Thani police chief said that the three, comprising of one woman and two men, confessed to the crime telling officers they lured the victim to the beachfront viewpoint before covering her mouth and nose with duct tape to prevent her from breathing. She consequently suffocated and died. The three then partially undressed the victim to make it appear that she had been raped and murdered.
A report in The Nation suggests that the crime was instigated by the victim’s girlfriend who admitted to the police that she was the mastermind behind the killing, a crime that was motivated by a jealous rage after she discovered her partner had a new lover.
