Krabi laundry lady returns lost 200,000 Baht cash to foreign tourist

A woman who runs a laundry shop on Koh Phi Phi is being praised after returning 200,000 Baht in cash to a foreign tourist.
Ms Boonruen Sriraksa, 32, called tourist police officers are she found the cash in Euro, Dollar and Baht currencies in the pocket of a pair of shorts sent to her for washing.
Hearing of Boonruen’s honesty some neighbours posted about the incident on Facebook and the post has since gone viral.
Boonruen claimed she had no hesitation about handing over the money as it was not hers to keep. She said she often finds money and valuables in the clothes of customers but has never once kept any of it.
The foreign tourist was tracked down to a nearby hotel after staff saw the post on Facebook. Ms Boonruen’s husband was later able to return the money to the man.
