Ladies carriages only on MRT for women too scared to sit with men

The MRT are launching ladies only compartments during the rush hour in Bangkok to solve the empty spaces problems caused by women who do not wish to stand too close to men. Earlier this month one woman reported that she had been kicked by a random male passenger on her way home from work.
Director of the Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand, Peerayuth Singpattanaku, said that the trains are not transporting at maximum capacity during rush hour due to empty spaces. Exact plans regarding how the new scheme will be executed have yet to be released. However Peerayuth said that the plan would be a great preparation for the new MRT purple line which will open in March.
