Letter to the editor – property market in Koh Samui

Dear Editor – I would like to know what the property market is like in Koh Samui now. Some people tell me the market is very buoyant and many Chinese are snapping up the homes that are for sale, some tell me now there are less Russians here there really is no market and some tell me the market has been dead for a few years.
I am considering selling my property in Samui but wonder if renting it out would be a better plan until the market improves if indeed it is as flat as some people tell me. I would be interested in your reader’s experiences of selling property recently, who to go to for advice and which agents do the best job of selling on your behalf. I would also like to know what sort of property and which price brackets are moving right now and what kind of percentage is reasonable for agents to take.
