Lift home turns out to be just a front for theft for French tourist

Pattaya cops have announced the results from investigations that solved two theft cases at the resort.
In the first on December 16th a Thai man from Nakorn Phanom offered to drive a French tourist called Olivier Rene Piriou, 51, home on his motorcycle as the tourist was very drunk.
Khamwan Jariut, 39, took him home but when the Frenchman woke in the morning 10,000 baht, 500 Euros and a 10,000 baht gold necklace were missing.
The tourists said he couldn’t remember anything after getting back home.
The necklace was found at the lodgings of Khamwan who was arrested on a warrant of theft from a property at night.
In the other case an Italian tourist called Fulvio Curti, 59, took 29 year old Kanjana Hormnuan home for the night.
The woman stole 3,800 Euros(148,000 baht) from him.
She was arrested in her hometown of Sa Kaew and said that she needed the money to celebrate New Year, reported 77Jowo.
