Man confesses to killing Surat Thani provincial chief public prosecutor

In Surat Thani police have charged a man with the premeditated murder of Phayong Dokmaihom the provincial chief prosecutor. The man charged with the crime is Niwat Jongsuk, 37, a close aide and gardener of the victim. Niwat surrendered to the police and allegedly confessed that he killed Phayong in a fit of jealous rage with regards to a love triangle.
Yesterday the accused re-enacted the crime in Surat Thani under the protection of 100 police officers. The man re-enacted unlocking the house, taking some rambutan to the kitchen then preparing lunch. As he was taking lunch upstairs to a sleeping Phayong he said he heard the phone ring and new it was a new love interest of the victim. Niwat said he lost his temper and they pair stared arguing, Phayong he said left the bedroom and returned with a stick and hit him. Niwat then snatched the stick from Phayong and beat him to death before removing his blood stained clothes, putting them in a black bag before taking a shower. He then left the scene and took a bus to Phang Na, disposing of the bag along the way.
