Man tries to donate yaba pills to help flood victims | Samui Times

Jakkrit Mukpradap, 39, was arrested yesterday after attempting to donate 11 yaba pills to a centre that was collecting donations for the flood victims in the Chon Buris Sattahip district. The man who appeared to be under the influence of drugs himself, reportedly urged workers at the centre to go out and sell the drugs and use the proceeds to help those affected by the floods in the Eastern region.

When the man was arrested it was discovered that he already had a previous drug conviction and he went on to tell officers that he had taken five yaba pills earlier on in the day. Later a search of his home turned up a homemade gun and ammunition.

Jakkrit said he got the drugs from a Rayong supplier identified only as Chamlong. Jakkrit said he had dealt drugs for three years after serving a prison term for his prior offence.

He said he was motivated to aid flood victims after watching a TV news report, so he donated the pills believing staff members could sell them for Bt3,000
