Missing skipper found washed ashore

The skipper of a fishing boat which went missing a few days ago with his Myanmar crew after the vessel capsized in the sea off Chumporn province was washed ashore yesterday (Wednesday).
The body which was found on the shore in Tambon Bang Namjoed of Lang Suan district was identified by his relatives as Chatchaval Samutpong, skipper of Chokecharoenrat.
Searches which involved the use of Navy aircraft and vessels were mounted to look for the two fishermen after the relatives of the skipper lodged a complaint with the police about the two men’s disappearance.
Strong winds and choppy sea in the past two days posed an obstacle to the search and rescue mission.
Search continued Wednesday for the missing Myanmar crew who was believed to have drowned.
