Monk arrested for rape after seven year search

A monk has finally been arrested for the rape of a woman in Sakon Nakhorn seven years ago.
He said he was drunk, saw a woman and wanted sex.
Arrested on a warrant at a temple in Chumphae, Khon Kaen yesterday was “Luang Phee” Satawat Janthawong, 27.
Back in 2011 in Phangkhon district he had been drinking with friends when a woman passed. He followed her to her room and raped her before disappearing.
He ordained into the monkhood and hid out at a temple.
He admitted what he had done saying that he felt the need for sex with the woman after drinking alcohol. So he raped her.
He was defrocked and taken back to Phangkhon in Sakon Nakhorn and charged with rape.
