Mum kills her own daughter as she prepares to take Thai driving test

Tragedy struck at a driving test center yesterday when a mother pressed the wrong pedal killing her four year old daughter and injuring her seven year old son.
Napheu, 36, – a Muser hill tribeswoman who has gained Thai nationality – had gone to the Singburi Department of Land Transport with her four children and two friends.
She had just parked in the parking lot normally.
The children were waiting on the footpath in front of the office when she tried to reverse her car. But she had left it in gear and put her foot down on the accelerator and mounted the footpath.
Four year old Armoey was crushed under the front wheel. She was taken to hospital by foundation medics but died there.
Seven year old Somwang was hit but survived and is improving in hospital.
Her two other children managed to get out of the way.
When Meuang Singburi police arrived they found the mother distraught. She did not yet know that her daughter was dead.
She was arrested and taken in for further questioning.
A security guard confirmed that he had seen the children waiting under a tree when the car suddenly mounted the footpath and hit two of them.
