Murder most fowl: Thai man beats neighbor to death over chicken theft

Police in Phayao in northern Thailand were called when a man was found dead floating in a canal.

Kornsak, 32, from the nearby village of Ban Saensuk in Pong district had been beaten to death on the head by a blunt object.
The cops had little difficulty tracing the murderer – they simply followed drag marks 500 meters to his house.
There outside his property waiting for the Pong constabulary was Surasak.
He told the cops that he was fed up that his neighbor had been stealing his chickens. So in a foul temper he picked up a hammer and beat him to death by whacking him in the forehead.
He then dragged him to the canal and went home to await arrest.
He is now in custody, reported Sanook.
