Mystery surrounds death of Canadian found floating in sea in Chonburi

Mystery surrounds the death of a 46 year old Canadian national who was found by fishermen floating in the sea at Ao Udom, Laem Chabang, Chonburi early this morning (Wednesday).
The victim was wearing trousers and shoes.
Pol Capt Somkit Kaensa of the Laem Chabang police responded with Sawang Pratheep Sri Racha rescue services.
The corpse was floating 4 kilometers offshore and was assessed as having been dead for four days at least.
The man was identified as Mr Jason William. Daily News did not report how the identification was made.
Mr William was wearing black trousers and black and red canvas shoes.
There were no injuries on the body.
There were two tattoos on the body – a skull on the left wrist and a squid on the right shoulder.
Laem Chabang station chief Pol Col Pricha Somsathan said it was not yet possible to say how the victim died though drowning looks likely.
The embassy have been informed and relatives are being contacted.
