New documentary highlights the damage the Full Moon Party does to the environment

How do travelers change the remote places they visit, and how are they changed? Gringo Trails, is a new documentary film, offers answers, some heartbreaking, some hopeful. From the Bolivian jungle to the party beaches of Thailand, and from the deserts of Timbuktu, Mali to the breathtaking beauty of Bhutan, Gringo Trails shows the unanticipated impact of tourism on cultures, economies, and the environment, tracing some stories over 30 years. Backpackers and local inhabitants tell startling stories of transformation, for good and ill.
