New gym opens its doors in Lamai
A new gym has opened up in Lamai, the Iron Gecko gym that is located just 100 meters off the Ring road, just before Buddy’s in Soi Pracharakpattana Soi 1. The Samui Times caught up with Satapron to find out a little more about this latest addition to the Koh Samui fitness circuit.
Congratulations on your new venture, how long have you been open?
We opened the gym on September 22nd 2015
What sort of equipment do you have?
We have strength and conditioning machines, cardio machines, (treadmill, spinning bike, cross trainer) Free weights dumbbells start from 2.5KG-50KG and Multi- function cable machine.
The Gym is about 150 sqm, with open air and air conditioning rooms.
Do you have personal trainers?
Yes, we do personal training.
Do you have a membership plan?
Yes we offer memberships of1 Day, 1Week, 1Month and 6 Months to suit the needs of all of our customers.
What about those who have never used a gym before, are they welcome to come?
Do you have showers and lockers for your guests?
Yes, we do!
How about music?
Yes there is music at the gym for our guests to enjoy
Food and drinks?
Yes we also provide refreshments, Water, Gatorade, red bull and protein shakes. The gym also has a small restaurant below that knocks up some amazing food.
No, everybody is welcome anytime
How about parking?
Yes, we have parking for cars and bikes.
Do your staff speak English?
Yes they most certainly do!
Why did you choose the name Iron Gecko?
I was laying on my bed and suddenly see a gecko on a sealing and it dropped on me, so I thougt Iron Gecko it would be a good name.
And finally what are your opening hours?
We are open from 8am until 8pm.
