New Tesco Lotus distribution centre opens in Surat Thani

Tesco Lotus has opened a new distribution facility in Surat Thani to serve 200 outlets. This is the second to be build in the country. The first center was opened in Khon Kaen last year to serve Tesco Lotus Express stores and hypermarkets in the Northeastern region.
Distribution director of Tesco Lotus Monchai Intarapornudom said that the new facility will quickly bring products to Tesco Lotus customers in the south and promote the local economy. He went on to say that this move represents a significant milestone in the company’s efforts to elevate the quality of the products offered to Tesco Lotus customers.
The centre represents an investment of Bt.2.5 billion, will generate 800 jobs and me one of the most advanced and energy efficient facilities of its kind in Thailand with a service area of 55,000 square meters. The center is located in the Phunpin district.
