Last Sunday night one Australian died and another was injured after falling from Namuang Waterfall in Koh Samui.

It is thought that Hugh Smith 24, and Benamin Thomas Kemp, 20, plunged 60 meters down from the waterfall. Rescue workers spent around two hours transporting the men from the waterfall to the Bangkok Samui Hospital where Hugh Smith was pronounced dead on arrival after suffering a severe head injury, broken legs and other cuts and scrapes, Mr Kemp sustained a back injury.

Despite signs pointing out the dangers of climbing the waterfall many visitors still attempt the climb.
