Part of human body washed up in Koh Si Chang area

A member of the public alerted Koh Si Chang, Chonburi, police after they spotted a section of a human body washed up on the island of Koh Yai Thao on Wednesday.
Police said it was part of the lower body and leg probably of a man.
Red underwear was still attached. Foundation workers took the part to the Koh Si Chang hospital for a detailed autopsy.
Police suspect that the man was a member of a crew on a boat who was murdered and thrown in the sea to hide the body.
They are studying missing persons reports in an effort to discover the identity of the victim.
