Passengers and crew forced to tie up a drunken Swiss passenger on Thai airways flight

On Sunday the passengers and crew onboard a Thai airways flight bound for Bangkok from Zurich were forced to tie up a drunken Swiss man who caused chaos during the flight.
The incident took place on Thai Airways flight TG971. Passengers told reporters that around 11.30pm the man, who was sitting toward the back of the aircraft started to cause a fuss, he was obviously drunk and when asked to calm down he became very aggressive, insulting both the staff and other passengers.
One passenger reported that he was acting like a mad man, leaping over the seats regardless of who was sitting in them, and said other passengers and especially children were screaming in fear. Eventually the man was persuaded to return to his seat, but when he refused to remain there staff and passengers had no choice but to tie him up by his hands and feet. The man remained tied up for the last six hours of the journey. When the plane landed in Bangkok he was handed over to the police.
Three passengers were slightly injured in the incident according to a spokesperson from Thai Airways.
