Pattaya: Immigration top brass arrest German after guns repeatedly fired at his house

Sanook reported that top officials from Chonburi immigration armed with a search warrant had arrested a German man and his Thai girlfriend at a luxury house in Pattaya after reports that neighbors were scared by the repeatedly firing of guns.

Lars, 49, was found to be living at the property on Pornpraphanimit Road with his 28 year old Thai partner Sujitra. The Thai media published a picture of a red plate BMW in the driveway with a gun on the hood among other items. Immigration had applied for a search warrant after repeated complaints from scared and shocked neighbors about shots being fired at the property. Division 3 chief Pol Col Ratthapong Tiasut and the Chonburi chief of immigration led the serving of the search warrant that had been granted by the Pattaya court. Two guns and ammunition were found along with five BB guns.
Also in the property were radio communication equipment and insignia and logos from many police divisions. Both suspects have been charged with illegal possession of weapons and have been handed over to the Nong Prue police for prosecution.
