Phuket Safari World rumours dismissed

It was reported earlier this year that the company behind Phuket Fantasea, Safari World Plc, planned to spend B1.35 billion developing land adjacent to Phuket Fantasea to become a new attraction and facilities. However, the plans have been dismissed by a company representative.
Speaking to The Phuket News, a Public Relation Officer from Safari World said that they have no plans for a Safari World to be developed in Phuket. “If we hear any news about this we will inform the media,” she said.
It was initially repoprted that Safari World would invest through its subsidiary Phuket FantaSea Plc, operator of the Phuket FantaSea theme park, to build a new theme park on a 62-rai plot next to the existing one on Kamala Beach.
It was stated that construction of the theme park would start by mid-year and take about a year and a half to complete.
