Phuket search recovers body of man swept out to sea

Rescue workers yesterday (Sept 29) found and recovered the body of the missing 25-year-old Phisanulok man who was swept out to sea while fishing at Saikaew Beach in Mai Khao on Sept 28.
Kusoldharm rescue workers notified Pol Lt Thanom Thongpan of the Tha Chatchai Police at 1pm that they had found the body of the missing man, named by police as Guyyasit Wadeesiri, floating not far from Saikaew Beach, where he was swept out to sea by large waves. (See story here.)
Mr Guyyasit, who worked as a security guard in Phang Nga, had drowned, said Pol Lt Thanom, adding that officers found no wounds on the body to indicate otherwise.
“He came to Phuket on a fishing trip with friends,” he added. “They were playing in the sea when all of them were hit with a big wave that took Mr Guyyasit out to sea.”
“His friends and rescue workers searched for him yesterday and today. The search crew returned to the very spot he was last scene this afternoon where they spotted his body floating in the distance.”
Mr Guyyasit’s body has been taken to Thalang Hospital.
